We have missed our volunteers at the last two editions of Ledbury Poetry Festival. Therefore it seems vitally necessary for the Festival to reach out and reconnect. We’d like to invite current and potential volunteers to meet, hear the news and find out about future plans! We have planned an in-person meeting on Monday 11 October at 6pm in the Barrett Browning Institute, and a second online meeting on Zoom on Monday 18 October at 6pm. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for either.
Without volunteers the Festival could not exist. From year-round office support, to stewarding, event managing, hospitality. Volunteers have enabled the Festival to grow and thrive.
The pandemic has opened up new possibilities, including remote working, and online events and workshops. Therefore, the ways you can help the Festival have also expanded!
Ledbury’s new Poetry House, in the Barrett Browning Institute, also opens up new possibilities, which can only happen with volunteer support.
So please do come along and find out more. Whether you only want to volunteer during the July Festival, or whether you might be able to help all year round. Whether you can volunteer regularly, or occasionally. Whether you are based near Ledbury, or could volunteer in the comfort of your own home!
And the rewards are many: attending events for free, meeting new people, making a difference in our local community, making the Festival accessible through online events.
