Poets, Artists and Musicians Fundraiser for Ukraine in Ledbury on Saturday raised £1,575.10 for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. Thanks to the poets, artists, musicians, and volunteer helpers. Thanks to all who donated cakes and goodies for the crafts table, decorated the venue with bunting and flags, distributed posters and helped to promote the fundraiser. It was a great day. Full of generosity, enthusiasm and sunshine – an uplift for the spirit in these dark times.
Versopolis: Solidarity with Ukraine
Ledbury Poetry Festival has a long term partnership with Versopolis, European Poetry Platform. Versopolis Review has a focus on Ukraine and will host conversations, commentary, videos, photo reportages, as well as reports prepared by cultural workers, writers, poets, translators and journalists from the region.
In partnership with Lviv International BookForum, Versopolis has enabled the translation of a number of poets from Ukraine (over a number of years). You can find out more and read poems and articles here:
