What are your hopes for Ledbury’s Barrett Browning Institute (The Clock Tower)?

Ledbury Poetry Festival aims to raise funding to restore the Barrett Browning Institute to its former glory as a welcoming meeting place within the community. Your ideas will help to create a vision for the building.

Ledbury Poetry Festival’s creative consultation days in May and June are an opportunity to share how you feel about the Barrett Browning Institute as a possible future home for poetry and the arts.

Your opinion counts. Please book a free 30 minute slot above and make your opinions known. (Please don’t worry about printing a ticket, just come along at the time you selected.)

If you need to cancel, please email director@poetry-festival.co.uk as soon as possible, or at least the day before, so that your slot can be given to someone else.

Each 30 minute, socially distanced, consultation session in the Barrett Browning Institute is for you and up to two members of your family or social ‘bubble’. Beth Calverley will use her magical Poetry Time Travel Machine to guide you on a journey through your past, present and future experiences of Ledbury. Plus she will create a free poem for you, live in the moment, on her vintage typewriter! She will ask you questions such as:

  • What are your favourite memories of the Clock Tower?
  • What existing activities and events could benefit from this space?
  • How would you like the Clock Tower to look, feel and be used in the future?

All are welcome!

Any questions? Please do email Chloe Garner, director@poetry-festival.co.uk
